The Bank of Me: When Your Reserves Run Low

I am mentally frail, fragile and emotionally labile. I have learned through personal trauma about the sort of cognitive fatigue and emotional exhaustion that affects so many of us. This is all so new to me. I never needed to check the balance in my “Bank of Me” account. The personal account, opened by my parents when I was young was filled to the brim for me by my family and my career. I never realised how lucky I was.
